Ken Loach’s powerful exploration of the challenges faced by a family caught up in Britain’s gig economy.
After losing his job with the financial crash of 2008, Ricky and his family are in debt and he takes on a zero hours job as a self-employed delivery driver.
However, the family is pushed to breaking point as Ricky becomes increasingly stressed by the pressures of tight schedules and fines imposed by the firm, as well as his wayward teenage son.
