The IW Green Party are delighted to welcome Larry Sanders to the Isle of Wight next week to support their campaign for a Green MP for the Isle of Wight.
The event will focus on keeping the NHS as a public good, and ending the privatisation of our Health Service. Green MPs would introduce an NHS Reinstatement Bill to Parliament which would restore the responsibility for all Health provision to the Secretary of State and not private companies. The Green Party also propose an extra £6billion per year investment in the NHS.
Larry Sanders is the Green Party spokesperson on Health and Social Care. He is also the brother of US Democrat Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, and attends the Oxford Jewish Congregation on 'high Holy days'.
Vix Lowthion, IW Greens Parliamentary candidate said "It is fantastic that Larry will be coming for his first visit to the Isle of Wight - or 'the centre of the universe's as he refers to us in his emails. Larry is a brilliant campaigner for the NHS and public health and social care and will have a lot to say on the issue I am sure!"
All are welcome to meet with Larry and Vix on Wednesday 4th December at 2.30pm at the Riverside Centre, Newport.
