The extraordinary, true story of Bert Trautmann, a German POW whose goal-keeping talents are spotted by the local football manager.
When Bert marries his daughter and signs with Man City FC, the couple faces the hostility of the POWs, locals and Man City's many Jewish fans.
When he wins victory in the 1956 FA Cup Final by playing on with a broken neck, the tide begins to turn in his favour, but fate has more heartbreak in store for the couple.

Screenings take place on either Mondays or Tuesdays and all Wednesdays at 7.30pm.
