Armed Forces Day will be held between 1100hrs and 1700hrs on Saturday 22nd June 2019, at The Quay, (Riverside) Newport.

There will be parade of service personnel, veterans, standard bearers and cadets being led by Her Majesty’s Royal Marine Band, Collingwood followed by local bands, starting at 1115hrs on Drill Hall Road, Newport marching along the High Street, to The Quay (Riverside) where the salute will be taken by the Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Susie Sheldon, JP.

An all day programme is planned at The Quay, to include stalls, exhibitions, military vehicles and children's entertainment.

Stall holders or business that would like a position at the venue, please make contact with David Dobson email: [email protected] who will take bookings and assist with any information, There will be no charge for a position although a donation would be greatly appreciated if at all possible for next year’s event.

This is a day when the rest of us on the island can show our patriotic support for our service personnel, past and present throughout the country and our thanks for keeping us safe. One of the marks of any civilised nation is the way it supports and respects those who fight for our country, and their families.
