Renowned as a writer, broadcaster and record producer, Ian has been at the heart of the traditional folk, world and roots music scene for five decades. As a performing musician has been a creative force since the late sixties.
Having recently researched his own family history, Ian was delighted to discover that he has roots on the Isle of Wight, dating back to when his great great Grandfather ran the National School at Bonchurch 120 years ago.
Please join us for a fascinating evening as we explore Ian's family and musical history, and delve into the Island's own story of traditional music and dance. The evening will be hosted by Paul Armfield and Ian will also entertain us with his trademark traditional folk, blues , old time and roots music.
Tickets are £7.00 each. Audience numbers at East Dene will be limited to a maximum of fifty, so please ring 01983-730930 to book in advance.
