A Harp On Wight Festival Event
The evening will see a special concert to mark the festival's fifth birthday. In a departure from the harp, it will feature Indian sitar master Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee and tabla player Soumen Nandy.
This promises to be celebration of spiritual tradition and divine creativity through the sound of two of the most popular Hindustani instruments.
Budhaditya is considered to be the leading sitarist of his generation. Since 1979,he was performed in no less than 26 countries. With him will be reniowned tabla player Soumen Nandy.
