Freshwater & Totland Archive Group invite you to a talk with slides about painting in coloured sand at The Wesley Hall Brookside Road Freshwater. This is a traditional Isle of Wight craft and the talk will deal with the origins of sand art as well as the lives of some of the Victorian sand artists. It will be illustrated with slides of the sand pictures showing locations around the Island. All the examples will be taken from the collections in Carisbrooke Castle Museum.
The talk will be by Rosemary Cooper of Carisbrooke Castle Museum. It promises to be an interesting evening. Everyone is welcome!
Entrance £3 Refreshments available.
