General knowledge quiz to be held at Newclose Cricket Club on Friday 28th September 7.30pm. This quiz will be in aid of the IW branch of Myaware (formerly the Myasthenia Gravis Association) - information is given about this disease below.
Teams of up to 4 people, cost £2 per person.There will be a raffle and lucky dip on the night. Licenced bar and ample free parking available.
Myasthenia gravis is a disease that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles which are responsible for the breathing and moving parts of the body including the arms and legs. It commonly affects the muscles that control the eyes and eyelids, facial expressions, chewing, swallowing and speaking.
Myware is the leading UK charity for people with myasthenis gravis. There is no cure for the disease but it is treated with medications and sometimes surgery.
