M&S Cowes will be celebrating Cowes Week in style this year, giving the store a special nautical makeover. Spectators and competitors can relax in the sailing-inspired seating area and enjoy a selection of drinks in the ‘Mast & Sail’ bar, including prosecco, wine and Goddards Brewery, Ale of Wight. The bar, made by local suppliers on the Island, will be using biodegradable cups.
Guests will be able to sample the store’s limited edition Cowes Week cocktail, exclusively designed in collaboration with Island-based Mermaid Gin. Complementing the elderflower and citrus note in the gin, the cocktail includes M&S Elderflower Soda, Fever Tree Tonic and fresh lemon for a twist on the traditional G&T. Visitors will be treated to tastings of both Ale of Wight and Mermaid Gin throughout the week, on 4th, 8th and 10th August.
Lucky visitors travelling into Cowes’ Red Funnel Terminals can look out for a limited number of vouchers being distributed which can be exchanged for a free M&S Cowes Week cocktail. Two golden tickets to the exclusive opening of ‘Mast & Sail’ will also be hidden in one of the skipper packs for competitors.
In addition, Store Manager, Michael Betchley and his team will be keeping sailors and spectators happy with essential Cowes Week picnic items on offer throughout the week. Savings include 3 for £7 on selected picnic lines, and save £5 when you spend £30 in store.
With picnic inspiration in abundance, visitors will be able to enjoy the best of M&S’s Taste of the British Isles Range, featuring snacks inspired by regional delicacies, to sandwich platters with generously filled rolls and vibrant vegetarian selections – perfect food for enjoying with friends and family whilst watching the action on the water!
