This event has now finished
Seedy Sunday is a new event for the island. Starting in Canada, Brighton took up the Seedy Sunday movement in 2001.
Seedy Sunday is a community seed swap event. People can bring along their own seeds, and swap for others. There is also the opportunity to hear talks from various experts including the Garlic Farms, Colin Boswell (11am), Angela Hewitt from Naturezones, speaking about Wild Flower Meadow (12pm), Gardening By the Sea with Gerry Price (1pm) and Beekeeping with Liz Van Wyk (2pm).
There will be a childrens avctivity area, and a chance to grab lunch, with home made soup, cakes and hot and cold drinks available.
Come along and meet fellow gardeners, seed swap and help grow this new event.
HAVE SEEDS TO SWAP? Plant, Vegetable and Herb seeds welcome. Sort seeds into packets and mark clearly (Envelopes will be available at Aspire if needed). Seeds will be sorted alphabetically so people can look and choose seeds to take away.
