Wartime drama set in a small German town in 1919, where Anna meets a mysterious Frenchman at the grave of her fiancé, who was killed in battle during World War I.
As their shared grief brings them together, long buried secrets are revealed that will lead them across a battle-scarred Europe.
Filmed with stunning black-and-white photography, Frantz is a masterfully told story of romance, grief and guilt, with dialogue in French and German.
