An exhibition by Bembridge Heritage Society showing how the village has responded to the challenges of wartime.
Displays will show a typical living room during WW2, soldiers’ experiences of WW1 and letters home. News cuttings and other sources illustrate stories of individual bravery.
Artifacts from the Bembridge Heritage Centre will be on show, including the Bembridge Gun. A restored military vehicle will be parked outside the Village Hall and men dressed in WW1 and WW2 uniforms will be roaming the village to tell residents about the event.
Local historian Adrian Searle will be giving two presentations during the day.
Entry is free and refreshments will be available.
