Saturday 29th April 11am to 4pm
This fun filled Open Day at our family friendly Club is guaranteed to offer something for everyone. Whether getting a first taste of sailing under the watchful eye of Royal Yachting Association Instructors or simply sampling the social side of what life at BHYC has to offer, our RYA Championship Club's doors will be open to everyone and all waterborne activities are absolutely free!
The Bembridge Lifeboat will be visiting us, along with other sea safety organisations, Tackt Isle will be providing SUP (stand up paddle boarding) and kayaking whilst the live music, entertainment, BBQ on the terrace, bar and stalls at our spring fair will keep those who wish to stay on land, entertained.
The Club supports all types of sailing activities including: racing, recreational sailing, family social sailing, youth sailing and training. Plenty of members young and old will be on hand to help you get out on the water and answer any questions about BHYC and sailing in general.
It’s a good idea to bring a spare set of clothes and shoes on the day, something to change into if you get wet. Hot food will be available from our all day barbeque on the terrace or relax in our Club House where you talk to other Club members and get an insight into the activities of this flourishing sailing venue.
We’ll be offering a range of incentives on the day to make starting or improving your sailing as easy as possible.
