Sunday 23 April / 7:30pm / £10 / Anthony Minghella Theatre
We age. We’ve no choice, because nothing stands up to Time. But we love and, if we’re lucky, our love does not age but keeps our hearts fresh and green. Four stories chosen from Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, explore the themes of Love & Age and the impact of the one on the other.
Giles Abbott is known internationally for his commanding stage presence, his ‘voice like melted chocolate’ and his poetic flair for language. Let him take you on a magical journey as four characters each make a stand against Time.
Also Giles Abbott will be holding a workshop…
Sunday 23rd April / 1-4pm / Quay Arts / £20 / Tel 07837 601 315 to reserve a place.
Have you ever wished your voice was richer, more charismatic? Well, good news – it is! Your natural voice, which is not currently your habitual voice, is richer, more resonant, more responsive and compelling than the voice you currently think is your natural voice.
Take this workshop with acclaimed storyteller and voice teacher Giles Abbott and in just one hour you will hear yourself as you have never heard yourself before. By the end of the class you will have learnt simple, repeatable exercises which, if repeated regularly, will make that rich, charismatic voice a thing you can reach for whenever you need it.
Who should take this class? Anyone who has to or wants to speak better in public such as teachers, businesspeople, storytellers, writers, community leaders and more. Telephone Sue Bailey on 07837 601 315 to book whilst place are available, as numbers must be limited.
