Moving on from a highly successful four months helping a total of 60 people to get the best from their tablet computers, we are planning an Open Day, a day to display all the interesting things that go on in your local library.

We are really fortunate in having library staff constantly developing interesting ideas and experiences for children. Representatives from the groups who regularly use the library will be there to tell you about their involvement.

The library bus will be parked in the Central Car Park staffed with volunteer FVL members. They can tell you about the future of the library and encourage you to go and see for yourselves the activities that take place, and invite you to a cup of tea and cake.

After years of campaigning to keep a library in Ventnor we are now assured that will be possible. It will mean moving premises, as the current one is impossible to maintain. Plans are being prepared to make full use of the site of the former youth centre on Victoria Street.

Come along on April 18th any time between 10am and 4pm. There is no charge but any donations will go towrds the development of a new library. We look forward to seeing lots of you!
