West Wight Arts Association is delighted to welcome the pianist Florian Mitrea back to the Memorial Hall, Freshwater on Saturday February 11th.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Florian Mitrea’s early passion for the piano led him to a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has performed recitals and concertos across Europe, Japan and South Korea. In the UK Florian has performed at many prestigious venues.

Performances by Florian have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM in the UK, on Romanian radio and television and in Germany.

He will play Mozart’s Fantasy in D minor K 397 and his Rondo in D major, K485, followed by Beethoven’s “Waldstein” sonata op.53, Schubert’s Sonata in A minor and finish with Prokofiev’s Sonata no 6 in A major.
