Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th January
It’s all about the Good Vibes this month at Tapnell Farm Park – And what better way to start a new year, than by doing something positive for our local area!
…But we need your help!
Join us as we team up with Surfers Against Sewage Isle of Wight and the Wave Project to do a Beach Clean at Compton Beach on the 26th January. Wrap up warm, don those wellies, and meet us at Compton Bay Carpark at 10am (exact time TBC a few days before as dependant on tides) Don’t forget your flasks of Cocoa!
The rubbish we collect from the beach will be used by Tapnell Farm Park to make a piece of artwork or sculpture to commemorate everyone’s efforts, this will be documented via our social media streams as the project develops.
Then on Sunday 27th Join us at the Farm Park as we continue those good vibes… There will be free Recycling themed Craft sessions from 11am to 3pm – ever wondered what masterpieces you could make out of your household rubbish without sending it to landfill?
We will also be joined by Surfers Against Sewage Isle of Wight, and The Wave Project Isle of Wight who will be here to talk to you about how to help keep our beaches clean, and also how everyone can get into water sports on the Island, which can be a great confidence builder, and a fantastic way to keep fit and happy!
Everyone who enters the park on Sunday 27th will be given a free mindfulness worksheet to take home to do with your family – Keeping those good vibes rolling throughout the year.
The café will also be serving lots of delicious healthy snacks, why not try something new? And to top it all off, let off steam playing around the farm park (Don’t forget to check out our new straw bale play area which will be back, bigger and better than ever!) and then finish your day with a few cuddles with some of our animal friends!
