Tune up, sing up and enjoy yourselves at this year's Ventnor Music for Fun Festival!

For two days, Thursday and Friday 1st and 2nd March, St Catherine's Church in Ventnor will be buzzing with folk, young and old, taking part in this festival, celebrating and enjoying the pleasure of music-making.

Classes are designed to appeal to all music-makers, from primary school ensembles to mature beginners, from community choirs to composers/performers. Whether you're an instrumental soloist or part of a group you will find a class to suit.

This friendly festival is renowned for the adjudicators, specially chosen to be encouraging, energetic and highly experienced. This year we are pleased to welcome Jo McNally as our adjudicator.

Originally from the USA, Jo is an enthusiastic and experienced musician, who is passionate about music education and has had a varied career as a music educator, animateur, and singer. She specializes in conducting young and developing choirs and is part of the 'team' teaching and extending the choral conducting courses for the Association of British Choral Directors.

As an animateur she has worked on special projects for the Education departments of ENO, Royal Opera House, Glyndbourne and with the BBC Singers. Ongoing projects include around the country with 'Sing Up' and working with BBC Singers ("Go Sing" and "Play it again" “I'd do anything”).

There will also be an opportunity to sing with Jo in a workshop open to all on Thursday evening!
