Running concurrently (and opening on the same evening) as 'Between Lines' in the West Gallery, Life Drawing tutor Nick Martin presents an exhibition of portraits of people from all walks of life in Quay Arts’ Rope Store Gallery. Since Nick’s ‘Blue Eyed Boys'exhibition in 2009, he has developed portrait commissions, diptychs and triptychs, all oil on panel. Inspired by alter pieces and late medieval and Renaissance portraiture, both religious and secular, Nick recreates the unique characteristic of 'hinged paintings' allowing for compositional playfulness between portraits. ‘Odd and Even’ includes work from commissions as well as specific pieces made for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in the Mall Galleries, London.

Gallery opening times: Mon – Sat 10am – 4pm. (Closed Sundays). Free entry to all galleries.
