Celebrating Age Festival 2010 – Fantastic Photography Workshop

Anyone over 50 is welcome to try out their photography skills for this year’s Celebrating Age Festival on the Isle of Wight. Chris Avery will be running a 4 day digital photography workshop at Jubilee Stores, Newport from 20th-23rd September.

Aimed at beginners, this workshop runs through the art of taking photographs with digital cameras. Along with lessons based at Jubilee Stores, the workshop will also include two out-door photography sessions and the opportunity to learn how to mount pictures.

Jo Dare, Chief Officer at Age Concern Isle of Wight, says ‘The best picture wins a prize and a selection of the final photographs will be displayed at Newport’s Riverside Centre as part of this year’s Celebrating Age Day on Saturday 2nd October. Chris’s workshops are always enormously popular and the pictures this year will have ‘Enhanced by Time’ as their theme.’

Spaces are limited so would-be photographers should book straight away to avoid disappointment.

The activities are free but for a £1 donation to Age Concern IW.
