After a sell out start to the season in September, West Wight Arts Association are delighted to welcome back the pianist Ke Ma for their concert to be given on Saturday October 13th in the Memorial Hall Freshwater at 7pm.
Born in 1994, Ke is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor Christopher Elton for a Masters degree. Most recently, Ke won the first prize in the 18th Concours International de Piano de la ville de Maisons-Laffitte, in France.
Besides her solo career, she also plays a lot of chamber music. Last year, Ke made her duo debut recital alongside British violist Timothy Ridout in the Wigmore Hall which was supported by the Kirckman Concert Society.
She will play Beethoven’s last Piano Sonata Op.111 and two Etudes by Debussy which will be followed by Brahms’ Paganini Variations. The second half will start with Lili Boulanger’s Three Piano Pieces and the concert will end with Chopin 24 Preludes op.28.
Tickets available from www.westwightarts.co.uk or Totland Parish Office 756028. Season tickets for all seven remaining concerts from [email protected].
