Blue Seas Protection organise regular beach cleans on land and in the water.

Our local lake next to Sandown beach has been reported to contain pollution and debris eg fishing nets, plastic bottles and cans.

A family of swans lives on the lake and two of this years cygnets got caught up in netting.

Seagulls, ducks, moorhens and other wildlife also inhabit the lake which is also a runoff to the local beach.

We need to clear the perimeter of debris as well as items which have been dumped into the water such as bikes, shopping trolleys, tyres, traffic cones etc
