Laura Careless grew up on the Isle of Wight and trained at the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance before attending the Royal Ballet School in London and later moving to New York City to attend The Juilliard School and pursue a dance career in America.

The Devotions tour takes her passion for movement-based storytelling on the road, treating audiences to intimate experiences of her own choreography in atmospheric venues in collaboration with local artists and arts organisations.

This special homecoming performance is suitable for the whole family (including children 7 years and over) and will include the UK premiere of Neruda Songs, a dance and theatre piece inspired by the sonnets of the Spanish poet Pablo Neruda. Following the performance at St Catherine's Church, Laura will host a meet-and-greet across the street at Ventnor Exchange, with opportunities for audience members to ask questions and learn more about her work.
