The WightFibre Cowes Cardboard Boat Race will once again be taking place on Family Day at Cowes Week.

Registration is open: via www.cowesboatrace.co.uk for those who wish to take part.

Teams from across the Island will battle it out to be crowned the winner of this years race. Last year saw the father and son team the 'Dynamic Trio' take the crown, whilst WightFibre took the prize for the fastest boat.

You'll be able to witness the final stage too, where teams who are still afloat are invited to take part in a last man standing race - where nearly anything goes in the quest to be crowned champion.

Come along and cheer the competitors on as they take their home-made crafts into the water alongside Cowes Parade to battle it out.
