Life drawing feet

Sunday afternoon sessions to develop your figurative drawing skills and observational skills.

Sunday 21st February, 2-5pm.

Studio 5, Jubilee Stores, Town Quay, Newport, PO30 2EH.

£25 per session (£15 for concessions).

This small group offers the opportunity to learn about working respectfully and productively with a life model alongside advice and guidance on producing drawings that reflect what you see. Workshops will alternate between life drawing and still life, and later in the year will also include landscape drawing. Materials are included and experimentation with ink, pencil, brush and with digital media is encouraged. Strictly limited to 6 places per session. Over 18s only.

Sunday 20th March 2-5pm: Life Drawing

How to Book: Spaces are limited to 6 per session, so early booking is highly recommended. Book your place by emailing [email protected] and payment can either be dropped into Jubilee Stores or taken by Paypal. Dates for April-June will be released at the beginning of March. Individual tuition and commission work is also available.

About the Tutor: Howard Hardiman is an artist in residence at Jubilee Stores, part of Quay Arts in Newport on the Isle of Wight. With a background in sign language interpreting and comic book artwork, his current work focuses on observational drawing and research. His work has been exhibited in Brading Roman Villa, The West Gallery in Quay Arts and Bank of America. As well as having drawing work published in the UK and abroad, Howard Hardiman has also delivered lectures and workshops for many major London art galleries, including the National Gallery, Hayward Gallery and Tate Modern.
