Day 1: Drawing with light

This opening session will focus on the use of tone and modulation of light using soft materials and methods such as charcoal, conte and pastel.

Day 2: Form and structure

This session will examine hard materials and methods of drawing with pencil and pen, and explore contemporary use of graphite.

Day 3: Objects in space

This session will look at fluid materials and methods and explore brush work with water-based inks, including Chinese brush drawing.

Core equipment will be provided each day to ensure you can explore different methods and materials, but we would advise you bring some extra of the following equipment with you:

“My spatial constructions allude to the culture of domestic routine and rituals of hospitality. I engage the still-life tradition from a contemporary feminine perspective. I use drawing to reflect on connections that create a lived space between self and world”.
