It shouldn't work... A quirky, lanky and obtuse 60 plus British singer songwriter with more than 20 albums under his belt sharing a stage with a diminutive young Australian songbird who should have been born in Nashville but it does. Wonderfully.

"They played songs by Hitchcock, songs by Swift, songs they wrote together and songs by artists they admire. Hitchcock’s offbeat musings on the material, famous Piscean musicians and music in general were great fun and kept the lolling crowd alert between the pair’s lilting harmonies and striking folk, twang, psychedelia and sadcore combinations that shouldn’t work but somehow do." So said "Adelaide Now" in March this year when this unique and enchanting musical pairing played the WOMAD festival there.

Robyn's Island roots are firmly entrenched. His Dad grew up here in the 30's and 40's and most of his boyhood summers were spent on West Wights golden beaches and leafy lanes, places he's referenced and written about throughout his career, and his most recent album "The Man Upstairs" was drawn together and rehearsed on the Island last summer when he was living in an attic flat overlooking Freshwater Bay.

Having spent the winter and spring of 2015 touring America and Australia together this gig in the beautiful Old Chapel at Winchester House will be Emma's and their debut UK concert before embarking on a full Uk tour and appearances at European festivals throughout the summer.

Tickets are £13.00 and can be obtained in person from Masters of Disguise, Watchbell Lane, Newport and Mrs. Middleton's Shop, Avenue Road, Freshwater. You can book online at http://www.wegottickets.com/ or phone 01983-730930.
