2014 heralds the 18th annual Old Gaffers Festival and its theme this year will be 'A Celebration of Yarmouth'

This beautiful ancient town is famous for many things, but at its heart is Yarmouth Lifeboat, which is the central part of this years’ theme featuring the crew with the coxswain Howard Lester opening the festival! (A donation of £1 from the sale of each programme will be made to the RNLI)

The festival runs from midday on Friday 30th May – Sunday evening 1st June. The town will be filled with thousands of people who come to enjoy the spectacle of the fabulous Old Gaffers, who will race against each other in the Solent on the Saturday, as well as presenting a colourful vision when moored in the harbour.

There will be a variety of spectacular free entertainment throughout the day both on the Quay and in The Square, including music and street theatre with many acts coming from London's famous Covent Garden! In the main Marquee you will also find “McGaffers Bar” which is now considered to be the largest Real Ale Festival on the Island.

The Square will have an amazing International Market with many stalls wearing their national dress and displaying food and produce from around the world! On The Green you will find a wonderful local Farmers Market, in addition to a variety of stalls selling arts and crafts from the Island and beyond.

There will be a great line up of bands playing in the main Marquee on Friday and Saturday night. This is a ticketed event and tickets will be on sale during May priced at £10.

The amazing new Indie Band Skinny Lister will be supporting the exciting Blazing Saddles on Friday night.

On Saturday night the wonderful Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers tribute band will be singing all the greatest hits, before the incredible headline act of the Allstars come on stage with their great sounds of Motown and Soul....both evenings will be unmissable!
