Photographs of the Tennyson Mile, from Freshwater Bay to Moons Hill by local photographer Pete Darby.

Pete Darby “Having moved via the Isle of Harris and Andalucia, i now find myself on the Isle of Wight in Freshwater! The Tennyson Mile is just on my doorstep. It is a beautiful walk from Freshwater Bay to Farringford Hall, Lord Tennyson’s holiday home.

The walk enables you to experience magnificent woodland and interesting buildings and gateways. At moons hill there are picture book thatched cottages once owned by the Tennyson Estate which would have been occupied by farm labourers. I would greatly recommend that you spare time to take this walk whilst visiting the West Wight. it is an inspirational experience.”

This exhibition is in Julia’s tearoom and runs until 16th December.
