This year, the Festival of the Mind is being held at the Riverside Centre, Newport on Sunday 6th October 11:00am – 4:00pm

What is the IOW Festival of the Mind?

The IOW Festival of the Mind is a FREE one day event – a celebration of all things that help to make us feel happy and well and it is open to all residents of the Isle of Wight to attend.

What is the aim of the Festival?

The aim of this event is to bring people together to talk about what makes them feel happy, to try out different activities for free and, maybe … to discover a new sense of wellbeing and happiness.

How much does it cost?

The Festival is FREE to attend. The stalls and performances are available throughout the day. If you wish to attend one of the workshops you are advised to book early. Tickets for the workshops will be available in July.

What will be happening on the day?

There will be a variety of stalls giving information and guidance available throughout the day.

Performances from Island groups on stage Free workshops running throughout the day. (Booking is essential if you want to attend any of the workshops. Up to 4 workshops can be booked per person, but please check the timings don’t clash).

Do I need a ticket?

You do not need a ticket to come into the Festival. However, if you want to attend any of the workshops it is advisable to book in advance. Tickets for workshops will be available in July.
