Newtown old town hall jf

The Old Town Hall has a fascinating history. Our tour will guide you around this ancient building and regale you with stories of Ferguson’s Gang, a group of young women who wore masks and used fictitious names such as Red Biddy, Sister Agatha and Bill Stickers.

These eccentric and formidable women were instrumental in raising awareness of the need to protect and preserve valuable places, such as the Old Town Hall, given to the National Trust by them in 1933. Booking essential on 01983 531622. Normal admission charges apply. Meet at the Old Town Hall (PO30 4PA, SZ423906). Assistance dogs only please.
