Four handed start to West Wight Arts Association Season

The first concert of West Wight Arts Association’s new season will be given by the piano duo Matthew Stanley and Berendina Cook on Saturday September 14th in the Memorial Hall Freshwater, starting at 7.00 pm.

The Piano duo are winners of the International Piano Duo Competition in Tokyo as well as the Kodama Prize and the Ongaku No Tomo Sponsor’s Prize – the first British duo to have won this prestigious competition.

The two pianists will be putting WWAA’s Steinway grand piano through its paces, playing works by Schubert, Schmitt, Saint-Saëns, Bernstein and Ely, ending with an arrangement of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
