"Former naval officer and retired dentist Dr Noel Stimson, after many years of serious research, has sought to dispel the many conspiracies and theories that have grown up over the years following the disaster; hence this no-nonsense attempt "to set the record straight”. He has drawn on the original inquiry reports, a plethora of Titanic-related publications as well as a world-renowned specialist in the ship and the tragedy. Notwithstanding this, some issues remain a matter for debate".
