ULTIMATE SKA WARS will feature the Island’s very own SKA'D FOR LIFE going head to head with the mighty BAD MANNERS!

This will be the ska party to end all ska parties and is not to be missed! Both bands provide a crackin' show of highly danceable good-time ska. A fantastic opener for this year's JACK UP THE SUMMER FESTIVAL which takes place on the Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend.

Led by outlandish frontman Buster Bloodvessel, the legendary Bad Manners will be battling it out on stage against a band who have made a huge name for themselves on the Isle of Wight and beyond, the uniquely talented Ska’d For Life. The evening will represent the very best of British two-tone/ska and provide a fabulous festival opening. At just £15 a ticket it also represents tremendous value for money. Get ready for serious foot-stomping, hand-clapping, knees-up action as these guys know how to party. If we had a roof, they would tear it off!

Bad Manners are one of the most iconic bands from the ska revival in the 1980’s alongside Madness, The Specials and The Selector. They spent an impressive 111 weeks in the UK charts with many appearances on Top of The Pops.

Hits include ‘My Girl Lollipop,’ ‘Lip Up Fatty’ ‘Special Brew’, ‘Lorraine’ and ‘Can Can.’

The band continue to live up to their name with naughty antics from frontman Buster Bloodvessel, whose shaved head pranks never cease to dazzle and shock the crowds. His lavish exploits infamously got him banned from Top of The Pops back in the 80’s. Despite Buster’s rowdy stunts the band are stellar performers and have perfected their craft over the years. They may have recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary but are still the high-energy ska lovers they’ve always been and boast a solid line-up of incredible musicians.

After experimenting with a few tunes in their existing band - Joe and Ian from Ska’d For Life decided to get behind the sound and form a separate outfit to perform old style chilled ska a’la Desmond Dekker and Clancy Eccles, right through to the high tempo/energy 2 Tone revival of The Specials. With Dolan joining on vocals and rhythm guitar - Mark on lead guitar and backing vocals and Murray on keyboards, Ben on trombone, Charissa on saxophone and Russ on trumpet, all members of Ska’d For Life hail from existing, separate, gigging bands joining together to play some great tunes - and make you dance the night away!
