Night skies, star lights, bright paints and ultra-violets… join Wild About Wight and artist Caroline Underwood for a dark and dreamy art workshop at Branstone Farm, Sandown this November.
Forget the fireworks! We'll be taking inspiration from the night sky to draw, paint and collage starry scenes in fluorescent paints and paper, then creating our own pop-up gallery in our Branstone barn to be viewed with the help of UV torches. We’ll also capture long-exposure 'drawings' using glowsticks and movement. The paintings and photographs will form part of an exhibition at Quay Arts next Spring in the run up to Biosphere 2019!
Saturday 10th November 4pm-6.30pm. Branstone Farm, Sandown PO36 0LT
Free event… Numbers are limited so booking is essential! For all ages including children aged 8 & over. Email [email protected] or call 07710 363446 to book your spot.
More about Wild About Wight Art Workshops... To celebrate the built heritage and natural landscapes of the East Wight area, Wild About Wight have commissioned a group of Island artists to deliver a programme of workshops and events running until Spring 2019. All the art and community histories collected at each of the workshops are being brought together for a special grand finale, a Wild About Wight exhibition at Quay Arts, timed to coincide with the International Year of the Biosphere! All our participants will be invited to join us at the launch.
