West Wight Arts Association start their 2018/9 season on Saturday September 15th with a real catch, Schubert’s much loved Piano Quintet D667 “The Trout”. The piece is called this because the fourth movement is a set of variations on Schubert's earlier song "Die Forelle”, or "The Trout”. The quintet is to be played by a distinguished line up of players, Bartosz Woroch, violin, Tetsuumi Nagata, viola, Jonathan Bloxham, cello, Tim Gibbs, double bass and Mei-Yi Foo, piano.

They will also play Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G minor and the Song of Autumn from Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons arranged for Piano Trio by Alexander Goedicke.

The concert will take place in Freshwater Memorial Hall and starts at 7.00. Tickets at £14.00 (Students and children £2.00) are available from the West Wight Arts Association’s website www.westwightarts.co.uk or from Totland Parish Office 756028. For season tickets at £90 for all 8 concerts contact jaxwarner@btinternet.com or see the West Wight Arts Association website for further details.
