Friday 1st June 1.30pm - 4pm
Join us on a fun walk Down To The Town through Ryde to the Esplanade, making clay impressions of our built and natural environment as we go. Led by artist Babs Gowan, we’ll be exploring the textures all around us, from street furniture and walls to trees, plants and once we reach the seashore, shells!
Meeting and finishing our walk and workshop at Ryde Library. Wellies are recommended for the beach part of our walk.
All materials will be provided and everyone is welcome, although children should ideally be aged 12 + and must be accompanied by an adult.
All our work will be glazed and fired, ready for our Wild About Wight exhibition at Quay Arts next spring as part of the Biosphere celebrations!
Spaces are limited so book a spot by emailing Claire@vectishousing.co.uk or calling Claire on 07710 363446.
*We are running a Wild About Wight art workshop each month until Spring 2019. You can see pictures of the amazing art and participants on our Wild About Wight art workshops so far on Instagram Wild_About_Wight and on Facebook: Natural Wight!
