RYDE ALIVE! A new resident-led healthy living project in Ryde!

A new resident-led project is being set up in Ryde to help people feel well, healthy, happy and connected. We are looking for Sovereign residents who share a passion for getting the best out of life, to share their ideas and/or help organise activities as part of the project.

There is funding (up to £9,000 over three years) and support from Sovereign for this project too. Ideas already for the project have already included –

• Arranging low key social activities to help older (and others) people make friends and stay connected. • Organising short walks for people who haven’t done a lot of walking, and for those who just want to get out into the fresh air. • Healthy cookery sessions and workshops to help people of all ages make good food choices.

Feel free to drop in anytime between 11am and 3pm to Aspire on Dover Street on Friday 1st of June to share your ideas and find out more about the project. Tell your friends, too.
