Mark Rowe is an outdoors writer and journalist for a number of national newspapers, including authoring Walk of the Month for the Independent for the last 13 years. He is also news editor at BBC Countryfile magazine and author of a number of walking guides, including the recently published guide to hiking in the Outer Hebrides. This talk follows on from the walk he is leading earlier in the day as part of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival.

Mark knows the Isle of Wight well and loves coming to walk on the Island. In conversation with Paul Armfield from Quay Arts, Mark will offer his perspective on what makes the Island so special, as well as a unique insight into his experiences of walking elsewhere in the UK.
