Isle of Wight
A public meeting to discuss the future of the Isle of Wight's railway service: Island Line.
This is being hosted by the Keep Island Line in the Franchise (KILF) campaign.
All local residents, businesses and community groups are invited to attend. (Doors open at 6:30pm, and the bar will be open.)
At this meeting we will outline South Western Railway's proposals for the future of Island Line and provide an overview of our intended response, with a view to reaching a consensus on what should be submitted by the consultation deadline of 31st December.
The Island's MP Bob Seely has agreed to come along (subject to parliamentary commitments). He will play a key role in discussions with the DfT about the future of Island Line, and we look forward to our dialogue with him at next month's public meeting.
