'Undersung on the Undercliff'

Join Richard Smout from the IW County Records Office for a talk celebrating some local Hidden Heroes from the past 300 years. There will be tales of men and women with a local connection whose lives, or whose moment of pain or glory, have been largely forgotten. From a retired lady parachutist, to a victim of mistaken identity, from those who make a stand against fraud, to a tactless opponent of regulation, there are plenty of candidates. Examples from the past can help us consider what is heroism, and what is simply folly? Who would you choose, and what other names would you bring to the table?

The talk is free and is part of Ventnor Fringe and the Hidden Heroes project.
