Platform One Presents... Music Showcase 2017

Platform One BTEC Level 3 second year students have been working hard throughout the year to shape and create their own ‘major music project’. With a high focus on employability beyond education, the students have put together an exhibition that aims to demonstrate how seriously they are taking their careers in the music industry. From composers for the moving image, to fully-fledged band performances, this event has a LOT to offer fellow musicians, promoters and music lovers alike; truly an event not to be missed.

This tradeshow-style event provides the perfect platform for students to demonstrate their musical passions and efforts to the public, where attendees will be able to converse with aspiring music managers, composers, event organisers, promoters, instrumental tutors, and some of the most exciting young performers and bands that the Island has to offer. There will be live demonstrations, merchandise on sale, and a variety of local music all performed live by the student organisers.

To support local music and these budding young entrepreneurs, be sure to check out the event on Wednesday 17th May at Cowes Yacht Haven, with constant music and student exhibitions running from 7pm - 11pm.
