Lantern Making Workshops for Ventnor Lantern Parade

Come and make a lantern out of willow and tissue and join in Ventnor Lantern Parade and Christmas Carnival on 10th December at 4.30pm.

The New Carnival Company is running two lantern workshops. You will have time to complete a lantern in one session – or you can make the frame at one session and come back the following week to cover it.

Tutors will be there to help and advice you. If you have a lantern from last year, then you can bring it along for a make-over.

The workshops are taking place at the Ventnor Central, Victoria Street. • Saturday 26th November from 11am – 2pm • Saturday 3rd December from 11am – 2pm

All adults and families are welcome to attend, but no unaccompanied children under 12 please.

The cost is just £4.50 per lantern and this includes a battery light. For smaller lanterns, there is a cheaper option using smaller LED lights for just £3.

Do bring your own secateurs / pliers/ cutters if you have them – the workshops are very popular so we can run out!
