Martin Lockley, a Welsh palaeontologist and currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado at Denver presents a talk at Dinosaur Isle.

Martin is an award winning lecturer, a prolific writer of books and papers and has brought the study of ichnology (trace fossils) into the forefront of palaeontological research.

His studies have taken him all over the world and he continues to travel extensively. His main interest is in Dinosaur footprints and he will be talking about tracking dinosaurs in the ‘Wild West’.

The talk starts at 7pm on Tuesday 24th May 2016 in the Education Room at Dinosaur Isle and will be followed by a pasta and Bolognese sauce supper. The doors will be open from 6:15 and a display of some of the Museum’s more interesting footprints will be on display.

This will also provide the opportunity to meet one of the great names in the palaeontological world.

If you have any specimens you would like to bring with you – ichnites or body fossils – please feel free.

The cost of the evening is £3 (£2 for Friends of Dinosaur Isle).

We are really lucky to get a speaker of this calibre and hope you will be able to support this event.
