Drawing afternoons horizontal 1

Thursdays: 5 Nov – 10 Dec, 2 – 4pm, £30 for whole six-week course. Suitable for all levels and abilities.

Artists use drawings in different ways – as a preparation for an artwork, during the making/creating process and after the artwork is completed. This informative and practical workshop series explores the scope and potential of drawing with artist Joanna Kori.

These six sessions will focus on a different art practice each week – painting, sculpture, print, land art, conceptualism and performance art – using artists’ drawings to bring out the full story of the thought process behind them.

Materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring along materials of your own.

These workshops are part of Quay Arts’ Autumn programme, ‘The Drawing Process’.

‘The Drawing Process’ is supported by The Arts Council of England, Mike Howley Trust, Daisie Rich Trust, Southampton City Art Gallery, Red Funnel, Isle of Wight County Press and On The Wight.
