Jim plays the most authentic delta blues you'll hear and his beautiful vintage guitars give it a tone and a twang that make you feel like you're listening to somebody on the streets of a Mississippi Delta town circa 1942.

Jim has been part of the London blues scene for many years as an upright and electric bass player.

An early break in his career came when he played with the Muddy Waters Blues Band when they were touring in England in the 1970’s. Since then he has worked and recorded with a variety of blues musicians including Gordon Smith, Shakey Vick and Big Joe Louis and during the 1990’s he was a member of Paul Lamb and the Kingsnakes.
He has also backed various touring American musicians such as a Pinetop Perkins, Lazy Lester and Pee Wee Ellis. More recently Jim has been concentrating on a solo career playing acoustic guitar and his set includes Ragtime and Chicago blues and original material. Last year he recorded his first album ‘Flash Charlie’s Saloon.’
