The New Carnival Company presents: Dark Nights, Shanklin

A new and unique outdoor FREE event takes place on Saturday 25 October, at 7.30pm It is an exciting mixture of 4 different lantern processions and live outdoor theatre!

Lanterns and large puppets have been made at various venues and groups over the last couple of weeks and are all ready to go. The processions start at 7.30pm and will all finish at the Spa Car Park on Shanklin Esplanade - where the lift comes down. This is where the show will take place.

Moonshine Border Morris will start it all off at 7.30pm with Samba Bands (Raw and FaT) taking over about 7.50pm as they reach there from the processions. The final performance will start at 8pm and last for about half an hour. A story has been created with storyteller Sue Bailey and involves pirates, skeletons, a sea monster and dinosaur eggs!

Spectators: EITHER come along to the Spa Car Park for 7.30pm - OR if you would like to join a parade, then hand held wax torches will be on sale at Hope Road Car Park from 7pm.
