To celebrate the Festival of Archaeology Newport Roman Villa will be open FREE of charge on Saturday 26th July.

Come and meet archaeologist Frank Basford from the POrtable Antiquities Scheme who will identify any archaeological finds.

There will be activities for families including a treasure hunt, arch and tower building competitions and make a fridge magnet or badge to take home.

The Villa is an excellent example of a third century farmhouse. Come and see the Roman herb garden, musuem display and get 'hands on' in the activity room.
