There can't be a better Father's Day present than tickets to the tense, action-packed Formula 1 film Rush! A race back to the 70s when James Hunt and Niki Lauda were locked in mortal combat...here brilliantly played by Chris Hemsworth (surely a next James Bond in the making?) and Daniel Bruhl. Containing bad language, partial nudity and gory accidents, it features all the elements of a Father's Day DIY project, but without the tears.

Directed by veteran director Ron Howard (Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon, The Da Vinci Code), the only child actor seemingly to have made something good of his later life. Yes, you remember him as Richie in Happy Days? Well, he's 60 now!

'Utterly gripping. Aided by two punchy lead turns, an Oscar-worthy script and stunning in-car footage, Howard’s race film delivers top-gear drama. A piston- and heart-pumping triumph.' Total Film

Tickets are £4 on the door...no need to book, there's plenty of seating! Cushions aren't provided though, so do bring your own for that touch of F1 VIP access-all-areas luxury.

Ramshackle Pop-Up Cinema is Bembridge's not-for-profit community cinema, showing hi-definition widescreen films monthly in Bembridge Village Hall. Refreshments available. Doors open 3pm and film starts at 3.15pm.
