Wightlink ferry

At the meeting of the Isle of Wight Trades Union Council, held on Wednesday 28th November, it was agreed to hold a public meeting on the issue of the Wightlink Ferries.

The meeting will be held at the Football Club in Newport on Thursday 3rd January 2013 at 7pm.

Wightlink Ferries are going to reduce the amount of sailings on all their routes from the New Year.

The IW TUC is of the opinion that the reduction in the frequency of ferry sailings will be to the detriment of all who live on the Island.

It will also affect the people who have to travel off the Island to travel to work.

It is also likely to have an adverse effect goods and services, such as emergency travel to hospitals on the mainland.

Come to the meeting to have your say.
